Saying NO Made Easy

In our times when people speak of positive strokes, positive thinking and positive approach, it may appear to you a bit strange, somewhat out of tune, that in this book we are speaking of saying NO. Here we are speaking about a good, useful and benevolent No; not a hateful destructive or harmful one.

Men who but pretend to be honest hide their faults from others and themselves alike; men who are really honest thoroughly recognise their faults and confess them.

“May I be fearless of the friend?

            Fearless of the foe,

                      Fearless of the unknown;

May our nights be without fear?

                            Our days without fear.”

Be like the bee; take only what is good from what you see in others, and do good to them. Do not be like the beetle that enjoys both honey and dung alike.

A dishonest choice may bring some

            Earthly.

                   Monetary,

                          Apparent advantage;

But it robs you of your

            Respectability,

                     Reliability

                              And reputation

And leaves you tainted.

Reflect well, think, plan and prepare your mind and heart well. Make sure as to what you want in life. Choose your purpose wisely; choose the best and stick to it.

The one who always agrees with every request and hides his or her disagreement is in fact not a “very kind” person, but rather someone who lacks in self-respect. If you refusal upsets someone, remain calm, and if possible, free yourself from the situation and move away.

Take care of your will. Purposeful action calls for a clear vision and an unconfused and firm will. Do not be in a hurry to tie what you cannot untie,” goes a proverb. And another proverb warns, “Judge not of men or things at first sight.”

Mean what you say, say it without hurting, without feeling guilty and with grace.

Enhancing the Meaning of Life

Work like you don’t need the money

Live like you’ve never been hurt.

Dance like nobody’s watching.

Sing like nobody’s listening.

Enhancing Meaning of Life 1

Life offers means to be and to become meaningful for those who care to be wise and responsible, to be keen observers and to be intelligent enough to learn.

The point is not how long you live, but how nobly you live. Nobility helps to discover that in every evil person there is a good person and in every defeated person there a victorious person.

A successful plan must have an aim, a destination. You should know where you are going. You should be able to answer just two questions:

1.     What is your destination?

2.     How will you get there?

At higher altitude with flag unfurled, we were reaching the dizzy heights of the world we dreamed of.

Dreams are necessary to sustain life.

Foresight is essential to success.

If we could first know where we were, and whither we are tending, we could better judge what to do, and how to do it” (Abraham Lincoln).

The true commitments,

Your dreams have to be bigger.

Your ambitions higher.

Your commitments deeper.

Your efforts greater.

Freedom is not the right to do as a person pleases, but the liberty to do as he ought.

Freedom is best when it is reasonably restrained and rationally made use of.

Only virtuous men are capable of freedom.

Our minds are like crows. They pick up everything that glitters, no matter how uncomfortable our nests get with all that metal in them. Let yourself be thirsty and hungry for wisdom.

Those who are empty of meaning are easy victims of neurotic anxiety.

To be and to become sons is the vocation of every man and every woman. We are sons of God, sons of parents and in some way sons of peers and educators. Globally, self-confidence in boys nad girls will decline during adolescence, and in contrast to boys, girls self-confidence won’t shoot back up again until early adulthood. Once trust is tarnished, it is hard to restore it to its original glow.

Some people, no matter how old they get, never lose their beauty, they merely move it from their faces into the heart. The secret of success is making your vocation your vacation.

On the Morning of the Operation in Hospital

You are sure to be anxious and maybe a little drowsy from the medication you have received.

You will be made to remove your dentures, contact lenses, hairpins, jewelry, etc.

Your hospital clothes will be removed and a special operation roomgown given to you to wear.

Premedication : medicines will be injected to prepare you for surgery. This may make you drowsy, cause dryness of the mouth and restrict your mobility.

You should keep your things in order when you leave the room, since you will be kept in an intensive care unit and will not return to the same room after surgery.

“Tell me what you eat and I will tell you what you are” – AB Savarin (French Gastronome)

Do Regular exercise which as several benefit like Weight Control, Lowered cholesterol etc.,

Remember few things about blood pressure

ü  High blood pressure can be controlled and not cured (just like diabetes).

ü  Have your blood pressure checked regularly and follow your physician’s advice.

ü  Your blood pressure will remain normal just as long as you take your medicines. In general, medicines will need to be taken lifelong.

ü  Some minor inconveniences of taking medicines will greatly improve your ultimate quantity and quality of life.

If you do all these things, you can feel better and live longer. So do them now! You deserve to be healthy for as long as you live.

Goodness is Power

In the fast changes ever taking place in society today and in the midst of the turmoil society is going through, many are asking, “Is there still a just man?” The answer is “YES”! Indeed, the just and good men and women by far outnumber the evildoers.

Dream what you want to dream,

Go where you want to go,

Be what you want to be,

Because you have only one life

And one chance to do all the things you want in life.

 Goodness is Power

Family, school, contact with groups are social factors that have an impact on social behaviour whereby the young acquire the knowledge, values, facility with language, social skills and social sensitivity that enable then to become integrated into society.

Wisdom is a psychological power and induces you to reflect what wise living involves. Goodness shines with good deeds, measure your day by what you plant, do not forget to do good and share with others.

Human Sensibility is the inner being, feminine anima, is a synonym of grace, affection, kindness, courtesy, meekness and sociability. The inner being, masculine animus, is a synonym of strength power, feeling of authority, creativity and courage.

The God who is constantly creating, re-creating and renewing the world and the universes is within you. He works through attraction and energy. Everything has a vibratory frequency; as Paul of Tarsus says, “God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance.” Abundance is the product of a creative mind.

Dig a well before you feel thirsty.

Planning is everything. If you do not plan your day, you cannot have a good day. If you do not think about the future, you cannot have one.

Goodness Ever Wins:

Goodness is the only investment that never fails.

Man proposes, God disposes. God makes, man shapes.

Energetic goodness puts a steadfast spirit within you.

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Whatever makes men good, makes then good citizens?

DARE TO FAIL! YOU’LL EXCEL!

DARE TO FAIL! YOU’LL EXCEL!

Not all the attempts that we make end up in success. Out of them quite a lot do end up in failure. Unfortunately most of us are inclined to look upon those failures as humiliation and devastating occurrences and experiences.

According to many thinkers there is no such thing as a failure. It all depends upon how we interpret the outcome of our attempts.

Quite fitting to conclude the failure is “To declare failure is to proclaim God’s absence, and God is never absent. Therefore, failure is always a temporary or false condition”.

Dare to Fail

Have we not seen how a baby calf behaves a few moments after it is born? It tries to get up. But it falls down. The more it falls down, the more it tries to get up.

Quite fittingly H. Stanley Judd had remarked, “Don’t be afraid to fail. Don’t waste energy trying to cover up failure. Learn from your failures and go on to the next challenge. If you are not failing, you are not growing.”

Persistence – A sure way to combat failure. Robert Rault has rightly said, “Stubbornly persist, and you will find that the limits of you stubbornness go well beyond the stubbornness of your limits.”

Presistence is the power of powers. With it one can make even the unbendable bend.

Success comes to those who are neither afraid to fail nor discouraged by failures. They won because they refused to become discouraged by their defeats.

If you blame others for your failures, do you credit them with your successes, when you blame other, you give up your power to change. The person who really wants to do something finds a way; the other person finds an excuse. Nothing great will ever be achieved without great men, and men are great only if they are determined to be so.

Things don’t go wrong and break your heart so you can become bitter and give up. They happen to break you down and build you up so you can be all that you were intended to be hence never, ever say to yourself, I Am a failure!
